ANIMAL THEMED DIGITAL WALLPAPERS AVAILABLE

Appible™ today announced its partnership with San Diego Zoo Global to create a new line of Digital Skins™ around the brand. Officially licensed themes and wallpapers for electronic devices such as smartphones, computers, gaming consoles, and tablets will be created and sold by Appible under the new agreement.

“These applications offer unique photos of animals at the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park,” said Ted Molter, director of marketing for San Diego Zoo Global.  “Creating an app that shares these fabulous photos is just another way we are engaging people with endangered species.”

San Diego Zoo Digital Skins will be available online, through platform specific app stores, and in gift shops for the holiday season of 2011.

Greg’s mother said, “Greg began showing an interest in art when he was in about the 4th or 5th grade. He asked for a John Nagey art set for Christmas, which came with detailed instructions about values, shading, perspective, etc. It also came with a plentiful supply of paper and different shades of black, grey and white chalk, along with colored pencils. Greg seemed to enjoy practicing with these and received encouragement from his school teacher as well as at home.

By the time Greg reached Jr. high School he began to take it quite seriously, and when he entered Bonneville High School he was fortunate to have an extremely good art teacher, who perhaps, contributed more to Greg’s art education and desire to make it his life’s work than any other person.”

After high school Greg attended Utah State University where he studied art. While attending school he met his wife, Sydnie Cazier. They have six children and are enjoying their new role as grandparents. Greg likes being close to his family. He paints in his studio, 37 steps from the back door of their home.

After earning his MFA from BrighamYoung University, Parson became a gallery and portrait artist. In 1978, a tragedy changed his life. His wife and daughter were killed in a car accident. He felt the Spirit of God helping him through the tough times and began to paint religious subjects to give others the sense of hope that he found and to share with them his love of life.

Often he will visualize ideas for paintings. After making a list, one idea will stand out more strongly than the others. Like any creative endeavor, painting is hard work, and a major oil painting can take at least a month to complete.

“When you feel inspired,” says Parson, “a painting takes on a life of its own. When that happens, the experience is pure joy. It is moments like these that an artist loves best.”
